IKEA Barrie - Interior Design Studio

Located in Georgian Mall, this retail fit-out project had a rigorous timeline of 3-months from design to construction and a very challenging budget but we managed to work with much of the existing structural elements to overcome our challenges. Previously a Flight Center, there was large box dropped from the ceiling that had an illuminated photo of a sky. Rather than demo-ing that and re-doing the ceiling, we built onto the box, made it flat and added lights to it. The design was divided in 3. The front of the store designed to inspire and attract customers. The middle as a closed off space for 1-on-1 planning. The back reserved for co-workers.
